Hybrid Product & Project Manager

About the Role

We are looking for a Hybrid Product & Project Manager to own both the high-level product strategy and the granular project execution. You will define the long-term vision and roadmap while simultaneously managing the day-to-day operations, delivery schedules, and building operational structures from scratch.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Roadmap Ownership

• Strategic Planning: Own and maintain the IoT platform roadmap—prioritize features based on customer value, business impact, and engineering capacity.
• Intake Management: Manage the requirements intake pipeline from multiple portfolio companies using a structured prioritization framework (not first-come, first-served).
• Market Intelligence: Track the competitive landscape (AWS IoT, Azure IoT Hub, etc.) to ensure the platform remains a market leader.
• Requirements Discovery: Lead structured discovery sessions with portfolio companies and external customers to translate raw needs into documented specs.Project Execution & Delivery Management

• Technical Writing: Write detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and product briefs that allow engineers to execute without constant clarification.
• Agile Leadership: Run the day-to-day operations of a distributed engineering team, including sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives.
• Risk & Dependency Management: Own the dependency maps, blocker logs, and mitigation plans. Escalate to the CEO proactively before a problem becomes a crisis.
• Knowledge Management: Maintain the central knowledge base (architecture decisions, meeting notes, onboarding docs, and product specs) to ensure team alignment.Operational & Financial Oversight

• Budget Tracking: Track budget actuals versus forecasts monthly and flag any variances proactively.
• Cloud & Infrastructure: Manage cloud provider consoles (AWS/GCP) for resource provisioning and developer access (IAM/Route53).
• Environment Parity: Audit Dev, Staging, and Production setups to ensure they match the product's architectural requirements.Stakeholder & GTM Coordination

• Reporting: Prepare board-ready monthly updates focusing on milestones, key metrics, and critical decision points.
• Collateral Creation: Produce high-quality product one-pagers, demo scripts, and integration guides.Requirements

• 4–8 Years Experience: Combined Product and Project Management role in a tech product company (no agencies).
• IoT Literacy: Functional understanding of MQTT, device management, and APIs.
• Hands-on Ownership: Proven experience personally owning a roadmap and shipping increments.
• Location: Based in the UAE.
• Tools: Expert in Jira/Linear and Notion/Confluence.

Nice to Have
• Arabic Language Proficiency.
• Certifications: CSPO, PMP, or PRINCE2.
• Domain Expertise: Experience with OEM or hardware supplier ecosystems at a technical or commercial level.
