Job Summary

Our Habitas Ras Abrouq is seeking a passionate, service-driven, and detail-oriented Housekeeping Attendant to join our Rooms Division team. The ideal candidate will ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, comfort, and presentation across guest rooms, villas, and assigned public areas, contributing to exceptional guest experiences that reflect the standards of a luxury 5-star resort.

Working in a unique remote desert environment, the Housekeeping Attendant will play a key role in creating memorable guest experiences through impeccable cleanliness, attention to detail, genuine hospitality, and discreet service. This position requires a strong commitment to guest satisfaction, hygiene, and the ability to consistently maintain the highest standards of room presentation.

Reporting to the Housekeeping Supervisor or Assistant Housekeeping Manager, the Housekeeping Attendant will ensure that guest rooms, villas, and assigned areas are cleaned, maintained, and presented according to resort standards while demonstrating professionalism, efficiency, and respect for guest privacy.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain guest rooms, villas, bathrooms, and assigned public areas according to luxury hospitality standards.
• Ensure all rooms and villas are presented to the highest standards of cleanliness, comfort, and attention to detail.
• Make beds, change linens, replace towels, and replenish guest amenities and supplies.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, bedrooms, living areas, and other assigned spaces.
• Dust, vacuum, sweep, mop, and perform detailed cleaning of all assigned areas.
• Ensure all guest room amenities, equipment, furniture, and facilities are properly arranged and presented.
• Report maintenance issues, damages, lost property, or missing items promptly to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
• Follow established room cleaning procedures, checklists, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Handle cleaning chemicals, equipment, and supplies safely and according to established guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of housekeeping pantries, storage areas, and service areas.
• Ensure adequate stock of linen, towels, amenities, and cleaning supplies in assigned areas.
• Respect guest privacy, confidentiality, personal belongings, and "Do Not Disturb" procedures at all times.
• Respond to guest requests promptly, courteously, and professionally.
• Assist with special cleaning requirements, VIP room preparation, turn-down service, and special occasions when required.
• Support the housekeeping team during busy periods, special events, and high occupancy.
• Collect and deliver guest laundry or other requested items when required.
• Follow all health, safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures.
• Assist with lost and found procedures in accordance with resort policies.
• Maintain professional communication and effective teamwork with Housekeeping, Front Office, Engineering, and other departments.
• Maintain awareness of resort facilities and services to assist guests appropriately when required.Guest Experience & Brand Standards

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• 1–2 years of experience as a Housekeeping Attendant, Room Attendant, or similar role, preferably within a luxury hotel, resort, or high-end hospitality environment.
• Good knowledge of housekeeping procedures, cleaning techniques, and luxury room and public area standards.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and hygiene.
• Ability to clean and maintain guest rooms, bathrooms, villas, and assigned public areas according to established standards.
• Good knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, tools, and safe handling procedures.
• Ability to identify and report maintenance issues, damages, missing items, or guest-related concerns promptly.
• Ability to follow room cleaning checklists, SOPs, and health and safety procedures.
• Strong understanding of hygiene, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with a polite and professional approach toward guests and colleagues.
• Ability to respect guest privacy, confidentiality, and personal belongings at all times.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote resort environment and adapt to changing operational requirements.
• Physically fit and able to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform cleaning duties for extended periods.
• Fluent or conversational in English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Strong teamwork, reliability, punctuality, and a positive service-oriented attitude.
• Commitment to maintaining luxury housekeeping standards, guest satisfaction, cleanliness, and operational excellence.
