JOB PURPOSE
To supervise the review and appraisal of the soundness, adequacy, and compliance of the Public Investment Fundâs (PIF) Local Real Estate Investments, and areas in ISEI, COS, GCFD, NDD, Investment Operationsâ operations and processes to ensure delivery of best-in-class assurance activities, safeguard PIFâs interests, and facilitate operational effectiveness.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
People Management:
Set priorities, objectives and supervise the activities of the direct reporting roles to ensure that all operational plans are carried out efficiently, in line with the annual organizational targets, policies and procedures.
Provide on-the-job training, ongoing support and feedback, to all subordinate employees to ensure they are capable to deliver the effectively the assigned tasks.
Identify the employeesâ training and developmental needs in coordination with the HR team and bridge the knowledge gaps to ensure continuous progression and high-level of competence within the unit/team.
Oversee the successful implementation of the talent management related activities for the assigned unit/team (e.g. PMS, trainings, etc.), providing relevant approvals as required (e.g. annual leaves, etc.).
Specialized Accountabilities
Manage the development and implementation of a risk-based internal audit plan for PIFâs Local Real Estate (LRE) Investments considering the associated risks, by participating in IA planning activities.
Ensure collaboration on assigned engagements (covering LRE Investments, Project Management related controls and areas in ISEI, COS, GCFD, NDD, Investment Operations)) independently delivering high-quality and timely fieldwork for the allocated areas and seeking support and guidance from the Engagement Lead (EL) on more complex areas, as required.
Supervise performing integrated (engaging with Digital and Technology (D&T) and Business Operations teams as appropriate) as well as targeted audit reviews in accordance with a risk-based audit plan.
Manage delivering elements of the engagement planning and reporting processes to support ELs in fulfilling their responsibilities (as delegated).
Present regular updates for the EL on the progress of their allocated areas of engagement, promptly raising significant findings, proactively coordinating EL file reviews, and taking corrective actions to address issues impacting the engagement, where appropriate.
Manage the observation closure validation activities within assigned timeframes.
Monitor the collaboration on conformance with the applicable technology audit standards and requirements issued by governing bodies, policies, and procedures designed to guide the operations of the Internal Audit Division and applicable laws and regulations.
Ensure building relationships with LRE Investments Audit stakeholders to enable effective knowledge sharing within the IA Division to enhance the teamâs capabilities and practices.
Manage performing all relevant activities in line with the Divisionâs policies and procedures, including the IA Manual and the Delegation of Authority, and ensure that QAIP feedback is appropriately addressed.
Common Accountabilities:
Coordinate operational excellence improvement initiatives and motivate employees to constantly identify areas for improvement on systems, processes and practices taking into account international leading practices, in order to continuously enhance the organizational effectiveness and business performance.
Supervise the development and implementation of functional policies, systems, processes, procedures and controls in order to ensure that all activities within the unit/team are conducted in line with any relevant compliance, risk, audit, cybersecurity and regulatory requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelorâs in Audit, Accounting, Finance, Business, or any other relevant discipline
Years of Experience: 8 years of experience in a relevant field with at least 4 years in a supervisory role.
Preferred Professional Certificates: Any relevant certification such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), IIA Internal Audit Practitioner, or Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), etc.
