Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced, hands-on Head of Enterprise Solutions Engineering & Delivery to lead the design, implementation, deployment, and ongoing delivery of enterprise technology solutions.
This role combines solution architecture, customer implementation, platform engineering, technical program management, operational reliability, security, quality assurance, and delivery leadership.
The successful candidate will own the customer delivery lifecycle, starting with technical discovery and solution design and continuing through configuration, integration, testing, deployment, production readiness, and post-launch stabilization.
This is not a traditional project management or advisory position. The candidate must be technically strong, commercially aware, customer-facing, and capable of making practical architecture and delivery decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Solution Architecture
- Lead technical discovery sessions with enterprise customers and key stakeholders.
- Understand customer business processes, operational requirements, existing systems, security constraints, and success criteria.
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical architectures and implementation plans.
- Design solutions involving enterprise applications, APIs, AI agents, workflow automation, identity management, data migration, and third-party integrations.
- Define system boundaries, data flows, integration patterns, security controls, and deployment models.
- Ensure customer requirements align with nakhla.aiβs long-term product and platform strategy.
- Challenge unnecessary customization and identify opportunities to create reusable product capabilities.
- Produce solution architecture documents, technical specifications, implementation blueprints, and acceptance criteria.
Customer Implementation and Delivery
- Own enterprise implementation projects from initial kickoff through production launch.
- Develop delivery plans, milestones, dependencies, resource requirements, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate internal engineering teams, external partners, and customer stakeholders.
- Manage project scope, priorities, timelines, risks, and customer expectations.
- Configure enterprise applications, workflows, roles, permissions, approval processes, and business rules.
- Oversee data migration, validation, reconciliation, and production transition activities.
- Lead user acceptance testing, customer training, deployment readiness, and go-live planning.
- Ensure implementation decisions, configurations, and technical dependencies are documented clearly.
- Manage post-launch stabilization and transition customers into ongoing support and operations.
Platform Engineering and Integrations
- Contribute directly to backend services, system integrations, APIs, and platform components when required.
- Design and implement secure integrations with customer applications, financial systems, productivity platforms, identity providers, databases, and external services.
- Work with APIs, webhooks, message queues, event-driven architectures, authentication protocols, service accounts, and secure credential management.
- Support the architecture of multi-tenant enterprise systems and customer data isolation.
- Contribute to platform capabilities related to authentication, authorization, usage tracking, billing, auditability, and observability.
- Review technical designs and code to ensure maintainability, scalability, reliability, and security.
- Establish reusable integration patterns, technical standards, implementation templates, and engineering best practices.
Enterprise Applications and Business Processes
- Lead discovery, configuration, customization, migration, and integration activities for enterprise business systems.
- Map customer processes across finance, procurement, sales, inventory, operations, human resources, and other business functions.
- Configure workflows, approval processes, roles, permissions, reports, and operational controls.
- Ensure data integrity, completeness, and reconciliation during migration from existing systems.
- Identify where standard platform functionality should be used instead of unnecessary custom development.
- Work closely with finance, operations, technology, and executive stakeholders to validate business logic and controls.
- Ensure implemented solutions support customer governance, accountability, and operational requirements.
AI and Intelligent Automation
- Collaborate with AI engineers to integrate intelligent agents and automation into enterprise processes.
- Define safe and auditable agent actions, permissions, tools, approval requirements, and escalation paths.
- Design human-in-the-loop workflows for sensitive, regulated, or high-impact operations.
- Ensure AI-enabled capabilities comply with customer security, privacy, governance, and operational requirements.
- Support the integration of AI agents with enterprise applications, databases, documents, APIs, and communication systems.
- Evaluate AI use cases based on business value, operational feasibility, technical complexity, implementation risk, and scalability.
- Establish monitoring, evaluation, testing, and quality controls for production AI systems.
- Ensure AI capabilities remain explainable, traceable, controlled, and aligned with customer policies.
Security, Infrastructure, and Reliability
- Define and enforce deployment, infrastructure, security, and operational standards.
- Support cloud architecture, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, environment management, and release processes.
- Establish appropriate separation between development, testing, staging, and production environments.
- Implement or oversee monitoring, logging, tracing, alerting, backups, and disaster recovery procedures.
- Ensure secure secrets management, credential rotation, network controls, encryption, and access governance.
- Contribute to incident response, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and production reliability improvements.
- Ensure customer environments meet agreed security, availability, performance, and data protection requirements.
- Support enterprise security reviews, technical due diligence, risk assessments, and compliance readiness activities.
- Maintain operational documentation, recovery procedures, escalation paths, and production support standards.
Quality Assurance
- Define quality standards, release gates, and acceptance criteria.
- Establish automated testing practices for APIs, integrations, permissions, workflows, data processing, and critical user journeys.
- Ensure testing covers customer data isolation, role-based access, authentication, authorization, billing, data integrity, and intelligent agent behavior.
- Coordinate functional, integration, regression, security, performance, and user acceptance testing.
- Prevent production releases without appropriate validation, documentation, rollback plans, monitoring, and approvals.
- Track defects, production incidents, recurring failures, and quality trends across implementations.
- Ensure lessons from customer deployments are incorporated into platform and delivery improvements.
Delivery Operations and Team Leadership
- Build repeatable delivery processes, implementation methodologies, templates, checklists, and operational playbooks.
- Define ownership, accountability, and handoff points across sales, product, engineering, implementation, and support.
- Improve implementation speed, delivery predictability, solution quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Mentor engineers, implementation specialists, solution architects, and technical project team members.
- Support the hiring and development of the future solutions engineering and delivery organization.
- Identify delivery bottlenecks and recommend organizational, operational, or technical improvements.
- Provide clear reporting on project status, risks, dependencies, resource needs, and delivery performance.
- Participate in customer proposals, technical presentations, solution demonstrations, commercial discussions, and statements of work.
- Ensure delivery commitments are realistic, measurable, and aligned with available capabilities and resources.Requirements
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in enterprise software engineering, solution architecture, systems implementation, or technical delivery.
- 3+ years of experience leading enterprise customer implementations or complex technical programs.
- Strong experience designing and delivering integrated enterprise software solutions.
- Proven ability to translate business requirements into practical technical solutions.
- Strong understanding of backend architecture, APIs, databases, authentication, authorization, and cloud infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience with modern backend programming languages and software development frameworks.
- Experience with enterprise applications, workflow systems, business process automation, and operational platforms.
- Experience with data migration, business process mapping, system configuration, and enterprise integrations.
- Working knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, containers, cloud environments, monitoring, and infrastructure security.
- Strong understanding of enterprise security principles, including identity, access control, credential management, audit logging, encryption, and data isolation.
- Experience defining testing strategies and managing enterprise release readiness.
- Excellent customer-facing, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- Strong project management, prioritization, documentation, and decision-making capabilities.
- Ability to operate effectively in an early-stage, fast-moving environment with limited resources.
- Professional fluency in English.
- Arabic language proficiency is strongly preferred.

- This role owns the architecture and delivery outcome across multiple technical and operational disciplines.

The role will initially operate as a hands-on leadership position and will progressively build a specialized team across solution architecture, implementation, platform engineering, infrastructure, security, and quality assurance as nakhla.ai scales.
