Job Description
Graduates joining the business in a Graduate role and engaging in all elements of the ADVANCE program. The program is designed to introduce and build essential business and personal skills, helping to enhance the transition from student to professional.
Graduates are assigned duties that will provide a broad, well-rounded learning experience within the field they are joining at Graduate entry level.
The ADVANCE program lasts approx. 24 months but the successful completion of the program is only to be used as an indicator for strong performance in line with other indicators (strong or above performance rating etc.)
Key Requirements
• Builds analytic and design skills.
• Conducts engineering design under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
• Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
• Collects and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
• Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.
• Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision.
• The candidate should have an interest in learning and gaining experience in the following: Geotechnical Investigations, assessment of Geotechnical Parameters, preparation of Ground Models for different design situations, shallow Foundation Design, deep Foundation Design, Earthworks (Embankment) Design, Slope Design, Excavation Lateral Support Design, Ground Improvement Design, Liquefaction Assessment, Geophysical Survey, Seismic Design, Geotechnics of dam design
• The use of the following software packages or their equivalent will be taught.: Slope/W or Slide, Seep/W, Plaxis 2D or RS2 or Sigma/W, Repute, Group and LPile
Qualifications
• Bachelor of Science or Engineering from an accredited University in one or more of the following subjects and a Master of Science / Engineering or PhD would be preferred.
• Geotechnical Engineering
• Civil Engineering
• Engineering Geology
• Geological Engineering

Requirements
- •Bachelor of Science or Engineering in Geotechnical, Civil, Engineering Geology, or Geological Engineering.
- •Interest in Geotechnical Investigations and design.
- •Willingness to learn software like Plaxis, Slope/W, Seep/W.
- •Ability to build analytic and design skills.
- •Conduct engineering design under supervision.
Nice to Have
- •Master of Science / Engineering or PhD preferred.
- •Experience in Geotechnical Investigations.
- •Familiarity with specific design situations and software equivalents.
