Job Description
- Manage daily cash collections, deposits, and disbursements.
- Receive, verify, and record cash and other payment transactions accurately.
- Prepare daily cash reports and submit them to the Finance Department.
- Perform daily cash counts and reconcile physical cash balances with accounting records.
- Prepare bank deposits and ensure timely submission of funds.
- Maintain petty cash and process approved petty cash payments.
- Verify supporting documents for cash payments and reimbursements.
- Prepare cash payment vouchers and ensure proper approvals are obtained.
- Monitor cash balances and report any discrepancies or irregularities.
- Maintain organized records of cash transactions and supporting documents.
- Assist with bank reconciliations and month-end closing activities.
- Coordinate with Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and other departments regarding cash transactions.
- Ensure compliance with company cash handling procedures and internal controls.
- Support internal and external audits by providing required cash records and documentation.
Qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
1–3 years of experience in cashiering, treasury, or accounting roles.
Experience handling cash transactions and financial records.
Basic knowledge of accounting principles and cash management procedures.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems.
Additional Information
experience is an asset
Fluency in English, additional languages are a plus
Requirements
