As a Mud Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting tests to adjust fluid properties, collaborating with the drilling team, managing fluid-related costs, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
You will be responsible for:
- Providing onsite services by measuring, testing, and supervising the running of fluid mixing and pumping, including technical analysis and specific recommendations for controlling fluid properties.
- May make sales calls on the field and field office level or accompany Sales Representative performing the same function.
- May train and direct work of entry level engineers.
- Conducts all business activities in accordance to Baker Hughes HSE policies, Legal, Compliance requirements and Baker Hughes Core Values.To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a bachelor’s degree in chemical, Mechanical, or Petroleum Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Mud Engineer working at the rig site.
- Have the flexibility to work rotation working schedule at the rig site based on business needsThe Baker Hughes internal title for this role is: FIELD SPEC II - FLD
