Field Specialist I - Thru Tubing Services

Overview

The Thru Tubing Field Specialist I is responsible for the safe and efficient execution of Thru Tubing well intervention operations at customer locations. The role supports equipment preparation, field execution, operational reporting, and customer engagement while ensuring full compliance with company procedures, quality standards, and QHSE requirements. The position requires hands-on experience in Thru Tubing interventions, including fishing, milling, cleanout, cutting, and completion services.

Responsibilities

• Execute Thru Tubing operations in accordance with approved procedures and customer requirements.
• Prepare, inspect, test, and mobilize equipment and Bottom Hole Assemblies (BHAs).
• Perform fishing, milling, cleanout, cutting, and other well intervention activities.
• Monitor equipment performance, troubleshoot routine issues, and report operational abnormalities.
• Complete operational reports, service tickets, and required system documentation.
• Ensure compliance with all QHSE, regulatory, and company standards.
• Maintain effective communication with customers, field crews, and support teams.
• Promote safe work practices, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
• Support the development and mentoring of junior field personnel.Skills

• Knowledge of Thru Tubing and Well Intervention operations.

• Experience with fishing, milling, cleanout, cutting, and remedial interventions.

• Working knowledge of Coiled Tubing operations and BHA assembly.

• Ability to troubleshoot operational and equipment-related issues.

• Understanding of hydraulic parameters, motor performance, and wellbore intervention techniques.

• Strong communication, teamwork, and customer service skills.

• Proficiency in operational reporting and documentation systems.

• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Petroleum Technology, Mechanical Technology, or a related discipline preferred.
• Relevant Well Intervention, Coiled Tubing, Thru Tubing, or Oilfield Service certifications preferred.
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in Thru Tubing Well Intervention operations in Rig Sites.
• Experience with Coiled Tubing conveyed interventions; Drill Pipe experience is an advantage.
• Hands-on experience with fishing, milling, cleanout, and cutting operations.
• Experience in onshore and/or offshore oilfield environments.
• Strong commitment to HSE standards and safe working practices.
• Ability to travel extensively (up to 75%) and work in field-based environments.#LI-MD1
