Express System Project Specialist

Job Purpose

Launched in April 2025, Emirates Courier Express is a global door to door delivery solution that redefines the express delivery experience. With a strategic focus on customer experience, the service aims to make end to end shipping as fast, reliable and flexible as possible, as is now live in ten countries.

The Express System Project Specialist will be responsible for a dynamic portfolio of projects across Emirates Courier Express from inception to successful implementation and adoption. Manage internal and external stakeholders including customers and vendors.

In this role you will:

• Responsible for a dynamic portfolio of projects across Emirates Group from inception to successful implementation and adoption. Manage internal and external stakeholders including customers and vendors.
• Manages a number of strategic business projects across Emirates Group in compliance with practices, standards and processes defined by departmental and corporate PMO guidelines
• Leads, inspires and motivates diverse and cross-functional team members, assesses performance, and coaches / supports them
• Champions relationships across team members and wider stakeholders to help drive business value
• Acts as an SME and support, coach and develop others across the company
• Inspires team to remain focused despite challenges and setbacks.
• Resolves differences across the different stakeholders (Internal & External) to ensure successful project delivery
• Provides insight in the project area and pulls together best practices and SMEs to help drive solutions to problems
• Identifying, supporting and delivering business process improvement opportunities and facilitating subsequent change management activities
• Reviews strategic project portfolio providing insights on progress and performance to enable management decisions
• Commits to ensuring project deliverables are met and recognises when alternatives need to be considered and changes approach when necessary
• Assesses the impact of change, risks and interdependencies and develops change management plan to ensure successful delivery
• Proactively manages project risks and ensure associated mitigation strategies are designed, agreed and implemented with respective stakeholders
• Focuses on business value and quantifies project benefits using standard financial tools and approaches
• Takes calculated risks and learns from mistakes
• Tailors approach and ways of working where necessary finding innovative ways to solve problems.

Qualification

In order to be successful in this role, you must meet the below requirements:

• Degree in quantitative discipline such as business administrations / IT /engineering.
• SAFe POPM certification is a must.
• Express logistics experience is a must.
• PMP certification is a plus.
• Certification in Lean and/or Six Sigma a plus.
• Professional experience: 6-8 years in project management, business improvement or productivity, management consultancy, or technology.Knowledge/skills:

• Ability to quickly grasp new business concepts, understand organizational issues and challenges and understand dependencies across businesses
• Strong ability to facilitate dialogue and influence a range of stakeholders, including senior executives

• Advanced Communication Skills & Presentation Skills.
• Advanced Data Collection and Analysis Skills
• Proficient Budget, business case and Cost Control Knowledge
