We are looking for someone who can own our event strategy β deciding which events are worth the investment, and executing participation once approved. Works closely with the marketing team to keep event choices aligned with marketing objectives. This is a high-responsibility role: event commitments are large investments, and this person will be the one identifying and justifying where that money goes.
Responsibilities:
- Research, identify, and select which events we should participate in and in what capacity.
- Build the business case for each event β audience, reach, opportunity β and present it to leadership.
- Own full end-to-end execution once an event is approved β see below, this is not a hand-off role.
- Keep event strategy aligned with our broader marketing objectives.
- Build and lead an events team as scope grows (solo role today).
Full Execution Ownership
Once an event is selected, this person owns every part of the participation from start to finish β not a single hand-off, but sustained ownership through the whole event. That includes:
- Hiring and leading any freelancers needed on the ground in each event location.
- Owning the relationship with the event organizer.
- Leading all logistics for our on-site participation.
- If there's a booth: its design, the on-site experience, giveaways, and the overall activation concept.
- Deciding what kind of stage presence we should have.
- Defining what contacts/leads the event is meant to generate.
This requires coordinating directly across teams, not just within events:
- Finance β to release payments.
- Design β for everything that needs to be produced for the event.
- Sales β to make sure every lead generated actually lands in the pipeline.
- Senior or semi-senior experience in event strategy, planning, or a related marketing function.
- Comfortable owning high-investment decisions and being accountable for the outcome.
- Able and willing to travel frequently and internationally.
- Based between GMT and GMT+4.
Requirements
- β’Senior or semi-senior experience in event strategy, planning, or related marketing functions
- β’Ability to own high-investment decisions and be accountable for outcomes
- β’Willingness to travel frequently and internationally
- β’Ability to work between GMT and GMT+4 time zones
Responsibilities
- β’Research, identify, and select events for participation
- β’Build and present business cases for events to leadership
- β’Own full end-to-end execution of approved events
- β’Hire and lead freelancers for on-site event locations
- β’Manage relationships with event organizers
- β’Lead all logistics for on-site participation
- β’Oversee booth design, on-site experience, and activation concepts
- β’Coordinate with Finance, Design, and Sales teams
