Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Estimator – Joinery to prepare accurate cost estimates for luxury joinery and bespoke furniture projects. The successful candidate will possess strong commercial awareness, excellent technical understanding of joinery manufacturing processes, and the ability to develop detailed cost analyses that support profitable project delivery.
Working closely with design, production, procurement, and sales teams, the Estimator will play a key role in ensuring accurate pricing, competitive quotations, and successful tender submissions.
Key Responsibilities
- Review project specifications, drawings, BOQs, and client requirements to prepare accurate cost estimates.
- Evaluate material requirements and obtain competitive quotations from suppliers.
- Calculate labor, production, machinery, finishing, and installation costs.
- Prepare comprehensive cost breakdowns for bespoke joinery and furniture projects.
- Collaborate with design and production teams to assess feasibility and optimize project costs.
- Prepare detailed quotations, tender submissions, and pricing proposals within project deadlines.
- Analyze supplier and subcontractor quotations to ensure cost competitiveness and compliance.
- Monitor market trends, material pricing, and industry developments affecting project costs.
- Support value engineering initiatives by proposing cost-efficient alternatives without compromising quality.
- Maintain and update pricing databases, supplier records, and estimation documentation.
- Provide technical and commercial support to the sales team during client negotiations.
- Ensure all estimates align with company standards, project requirements, and profitability targets.Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience as an Estimator within joinery, fit-out, luxury furniture manufacturing, or interior contracting environments.
- Strong knowledge of joinery materials, finishes, hardware, and manufacturing processes.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and the ability to interpret technical drawings.
- Familiarity with UAE market pricing, labor rates, supplier networks, and subcontracting costs.
- Strong understanding of bespoke furniture and architectural joinery production.
- Advanced MS Excel skills and experience with estimation software.
- Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines simultaneously.
- Knowledge of UAE industry standards, regulations, and best practices is advantageous.Benefits
