Job Purpose
As Engineering Programs Manager you will manage the planned and ad hoc aircraft maintenance, modification, and repair at outsourced Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facilities globally. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the agreed scope is delivered to required quality standards, within the approved Turn Around Time (TAT), and budget.
In this role you will:
- Be accountable for governing, standardising, and continuously improving departmental Roles & Responsibilities and Work Instructions to ensure consistent, controlled execution of assigned events.
- Develop and implement internal audit plans to verify compliance with standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements, while driving effective Corrective and Preventative Action (CAPA) closure and continuous improvement to strengthen process integrity and minimise risk.
- Responsible for developing and maintaining Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reporting across quality, cost, schedule, and delivery, applying Lean principles to drive continuous improvement, efficiency, and informed decision making.
- Manage the onsite EK team and be the primary onsite focal point representing EK at assigned MRO location(s). Manage and coordinate the day-to-day execution with the MRO ensuring that performance aligns with contractual, planning, and established process and procedural requirements while proactively managing risks and issues to protect set deliverables.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of all relevant contracts and agreements. In coordination with the Manager Engineering Programs and key stakeholders, review, validate, and approve associated costs in accordance with contractual terms and required timelines.
- Serve as the primary onsite liaison for MRO technical issues, ensuring timely resolution. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to manage logistics, spare parts, and aircraft movements, maintaining delivery continuity and alignment with the planned schedule.
Qualification
To be considered for the role you must meet the below requirements:
- Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) in Engineering (Aeronautical / Mechanical / Avionics / Electronic / Technical Engineering) OR Holder of an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s Licence.
- 8+ years of experience in Engineering: Planning.
- Experience in Engineering, Technical Representation, and/or Continued Airworthiness with a minimum 3 years in an MRO or airline environment with responsibility for managing people and performance.
- Experience in Aircraft Engineering, Maintenance, Planning, Production, or associated technical support organisations and/or project management of outsourced maintenance activities.
- Detailed understanding of aircraft and/or powerplant systems and components.
- Detailed knowledge of aircraft regulatory requirements and maintenance documentation.
- Strong project management capability with sound knowledge of computer applications/tools.
- Effective working knowledge and demonstrated application of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Risk Analysis.

Requirements
