Job Purpose
Carryout the inspection and testing of static equipment and pipes in the Plant to assess their safety and reliability and ensure the Plant’s continuous operations.
Job Specific Accountabilities
Technical Support and Inspection activities
- Carryout all on-stream and shutdown inspection activities for stationary equipment, pressure relieving devices, corrosion monitoring and investigation of failures.
- Review the corrosion inhibitor residual analysis report and recommend the necessary action.
- Identify areas of concern and propose the remedial actions. Follow-up on the recommended actions to ensure timely resolution and the continuity of the planned operations.
- Carry out the implementation of 5-year inspection plans based on API RBI and inspection Policy and determine the critical static equipment and pipes’ conditions to take the necessary measures into consideration and ensure their reliability and quality assurance.
Job Accountabilities
• Review the integrity and inspection assessment reports and advise on the repair techniques, materials’ selection, welding procedures, and inspection and testing requirements.
• Participate in PSSR (Pre Start Up Safety Reviews) after shutdowns to ensure that the job has been performed in a safe manner and the Plant is ready to start up.
• Review the painting and coating systems, analyse the painting failures, and recommend the remedial actions.
• Supervise and participate in the non-destructive testing of static equipment and pipes, and review the preliminary and final interpretations.
• Review project FEED proposals and the relevant documents and designs related to material selection and mechanical integrity. Review QA/QC documents, method statements etc. during project execution. Follow-up on the closing of the raised items.
• Prepare the inspection activity scope of work, method statements, job plans and relevant inspection test plan (ITP), and procedures.
• Produce the inspection reports of the procured materials for static assets or components in line with the set specifications.
• Participate in failure analysis, RCA, and internal and external audits to ensure the quality assurance of the assets and contribute in the Plant continuous operations.
• Participate in the review of the inspection reports and certificates of portable equipment similar to typical static assets when mobilised by external contractors for work inside the plant.
• Prepare reports using the Inspection Data Management System to facilitate decision making.

Minimum Qualification
Bachelor Degree in Metallurgical or Mechanical Engineering or other equivalent.
Minimum Experience, Knowledge & Skills
- 6 years of experience in leading plant inspection activities within a large industrial organization, preferably in the Oil and Gas industry.
- Good understating of development and implementation of inspection engineering related to Oil and Gas field.
- Good understanding of all engineering disciplines, risk management, and loss prevention techniques.
- Working knowledge of design, manufacture, metallurgy, welding, standards, and legislation associated with the inspection of plant and equipment.
- Working knowledge on QA/QC systems and procedures.
- Technical ability in understanding codes, standards, and inspection methods.
- Knowledge of visual inspection (VT), ultrasonic testing (UT), magnetic particle testing (MT), penetrant testing (PT), radiography testing (RT), phased array ultrasonic testing (PAUT), and time off flight diffraction (TOFD).
- Knowledge in national association corrosion engineer program (NACE – Painting and CP), national board inspection code (NBIC), and inspection management system (IMS).
- Knowledge of API 571 and API 580/581. (API 936 preferred)
- Knowledge of HSE procedures and practices.
- Planning and organising, scheduling and co-ordinating, checking, examining and recording.
Professional Certifications
- Valid API 510, 570, and 653.
- Valid AWS/CSWIP.
Requirements

- •Good understanding of inspection engineering in Oil and Gas fields
