ABOUT THE ROLE

ROLE OVERVIEW

The successful candidate will work within a collaborative multidisciplinary clinical environment supported by experienced consultants, nurses, allied health professionals, and modern diagnostic and treatment facilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the assessment and stabilisation of emergency, trauma, cardiac, medical, surgical, and paediatric presentations.
• Manage resuscitation, airway management, procedural sedation, and critical decision-making in the emergency department.
• Triage complex cases, supervise emergency teams, and coordinate timely specialist referrals.
• Ensure safe patient flow, observation unit decisions, transfers, and discharge planning.
• Participate in disaster preparedness, trauma protocols, simulation training, and clinical governance.
• Maintain accurate emergency documentation, medico-legal compliance, and patient safety standards.
