Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Electrical Inspector to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring that all electrical installations, systems, and infrastructure meet established codes, standards, and specifications. You will work collaboratively with contractors, engineers, and project teams to maintain the highest standards of safety and compliance throughout construction and installation projects. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on project success through meticulous inspection, thorough documentation, and transparent communication.
• Conduct comprehensive inspections of electrical installations, systems, and infrastructure to ensure compliance with applicable electrical codes, building standards, and project specifications
• Evaluate contractor performance and adherence to contract requirements, including testing procedures, installation methods, and quality standards
• Document all field observations, inspection findings, and test results through detailed daily reports, maintaining organized and accurate records of work performed
• Review and analyze electrical submittals, technical drawings, and development plans to verify conformity with project specifications and electrical standards
• Identify and document noncompliant items through discrepancy notices, working decisively to resolve conflicts and ensure corrective actions are implemented
• Perform thorough infrastructure walkthroughs and develop comprehensive punchlists to track project progress and outstanding items
• Participate actively in construction progress meetings and contractor coordination sessions to communicate inspection findings and project status
• Conduct electrical testing and measurements using appropriate equipment and procedures, maintaining detailed records of all computations and results
• Ensure that safety regulations, electrical codes, and industry best practices are followed throughout all construction and installation activities
• Provide construction photographs and visual documentation to record progress, problem areas, and completed work
• Participate in technical demonstrations, field instructions, and testing activities with relevant personnel to verify system functionality and compliance
• Maintain transparent communication with all stakeholders regarding inspection outcomes, compliance status, and any identified safety concerns
Qualifications
**Minimum Requirements:**
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 10 years of relevant experience in electrical construction, inspection, testing procedures, and large-scale electrical projects
• Comprehensive knowledge of electrical power utility distribution systems, including overhead and underground systems, single-phase and 3-phase configurations
• Strong understanding of electrical codes, building codes, and safety regulations applicable to electrical installations
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications
• Demonstrated ability to operate electrical testing equipment (multimeters, megohmeters, insulation testers, etc.)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to document findings clearly and concisely
• Strong organizational and time management skills with meticulous attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively in outdoor and indoor construction environments with variable conditions, including heat, dust, noise, and moisture
• Physical capability to perform site inspections, including climbing stairs, using portable ladders, working at heights, and lifting equipment weighing up to 25 pounds
• Willingness to wear and properly use all required personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and fall protection
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities
• Collaborative approach to working with contractors, engineers, and project teams**Preferred Requirements:**
• OSHA 30 Certification or equivalent safety certification
• Experience with large-scale commercial or industrial electrical projects
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Experience with Records Management Systems (RMS) or similar documentation platforms
• Prior experience with electrical inspection on major infrastructure or institutional projects
• Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) and local electrical standards
• Experience in both overhead and underground electrical power utility distribution systems
• Familiarity with electrical safety standards and best practices
• Demonstrated track record of successful project inspections and compliance documentation
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in diverse, inclusive team environments
