Job Summary
The Wireline/Slickline electrician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing slickline units and associated tools to ensure reliable field operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Technicians troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance to keep equipment in optimal condition.
• Technicians often provide training to customers on the proper use and maintenance of the equipment.
• Technicians conduct inspections and testing procedures to ensure that the equipment meets quality and safety standards.
• Have the ability to create and read electrical schematics.
• Ability to handle software and hardware issues related to the equipment.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, service reports, and equipment inspection records.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) policies and quality procedures.
• Assist in equipment load outs, function tests, and mobilization of slickline units.
• Collaborate with field engineers, supervisors, and technicians to support smooth workshop operations.
• Participate in safety meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
• Diploma or equivalent in the same branch (technical diploma preferred).
• Minimum 2–4 years’ experience as an Electrician in low voltage equipment, preferably in oilfield, wireline, or slickline operations.
• Strong Electrical/Electronics troubleshooting skills.
• Basic knowledge of software applications and installations.
• Ability to read electrical drawings, schematics, and service manuals.
• Familiarity with safe working practices in oilfield environments (H2S, confined space, pressure control, etc.).

Requirements
