Job Description
A Dry Cleaner is responsible for cleaning, pressing, and maintaining guest garments, hotel uniforms, linens, and other fabric items to hotel quality standards. The role ensures timely laundry and dry-cleaning services while maintaining excellent guest satisfaction and hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate dry-cleaning, washing, drying, and pressing machines
- Clean and press guest clothing, staff uniforms, and hotel linens
- Inspect garments for stains, damage, or special handling instructions
- Apply stain-removal treatments using proper chemicals and techniques
- Sort items according to fabric type, color, and cleaning method
- Fold, package, and deliver cleaned garments to guests or departments
- Maintain laundry equipment and report any malfunctions
- Ensure proper usage and storage of laundry chemicals
- Follow hotel hygiene, safety, and quality standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area
- Handle guest requests professionally and promptly
- Keep records of guest laundry and dry-cleaning ordersRequirements & Skills
- Previous experience in hotel laundry or dry-cleaning preferred
- Knowledge of fabric care and stain-removal techniques
- Ability to operate laundry and pressing equipment
- Good attention to detail and time management
- Basic communication skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts, weekends, and holidays
- Physically fit to stand for long periods and lift laundry loads
