Strategy, Policy and Procedure
- Lead the development and implementation of financial Audit plans and strategies ensuring thorough coverage of all financial activities, compliance requirements and auditing standards.
- Support the management through continuous improvement of revenue management processes, policies and best practices, adaptive to changes in business sector requirements.
- Define key performance indicators and success metrics for the team.
- Maintain the confidentiality of the information relating to work, to protect the interests and activity of the Company.
Financial Audits Management
- Lead and oversee financial audits on licensees to ensure they comply with levy calculation methods, settle fees promptly and submit accurate information to regulator.
- Lead and oversee the execution of audits, including risk assessments, designing audit procedures and issuing audit reports.
- Monitor financial planning and budgeting processes within the licensing companies.
- Oversee the auditing process including financial audit reports, submitted by the licensees to ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance with regulations.
- Effectively convey financial audit findings to senior management, ensuring clarity and understanding of identified areas for improvement in financial accountability.
- Lead and manage a team of auditors to conduct regular financial audits of licensees.
- Ensure that licensees comply with regulatory requirements, licensing agreements and industry standards related to financial reporting, fee calculations and revenue recognition.
- Identify financial risks and control weaknesses within licensee operations, providing recommendations for risk mitigation and process improvement to enhance financial controls and compliance.
- Ensure compliance with auditing standards, legal regulations, and licensing requirements applicable to financial audits, maintaining independence and objectivity in audit activities.
- Uphold ethical standards and promote a culture of integrity and accountability within the auditing function.
- Stay informed about changes in licensing laws, regulations, and industry trends to adapt strategies accordingly.
Revenue Protection
- Oversee annual and quarterly payments collection and EPG fee calculations for the Unit.
- Review quarterly returns submitted by licensees to settle their fees and identify any discrepancies.
- Ensure effective coordination with the Group Finance team for financial reporting.
Continuous Improvement
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the audit function, implementing best practices, leveraging technology, and enhancing audit methodologies to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Analyse market dynamics based on annual and quarterly reports from players and identify key trends for regulatory updates.
Budget Control
- Manage the financial resources allocated to the audit function, ensuring effective budget planning, utilization and control to optimize audit activities and achieve organizational objectives.
Synergies with Stakeholders
- Collaborate with other departments to address issues related to compliance gaps and recommend corrective actions.
- Provide strategic guidance and actionable recommendations to stakeholders based on audit findings to enhance financial transparency fostering informed decision-making.
Reports
- Provide periodic reports detailing financial Audits and related revenue growth to facilitate effective decision-making.
Talent Management
- Ensure a high standard of employee motivation through regular employee communication, training and equipping with the best tools to achieve the maximum results.
- Set comprehensive goals for performance & growth ensuring the team is capable of delivering the strategic intent.
Other Tasks
- Perform any other responsibilities relating to this job request or work task as allocated by the Line Manager.
Requirements
