This key leadership position is responsible for overseeing all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) operations within our commercial office projects, ensuring excellence in design, execution, and sustainability.
In this role, you will be charged with directing MEP project teams, coordinating with contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver projects that adhere to our quality standards and project timelines. Your expertise will be critical in implementing innovative technologies and processes that enhance operational efficiency and reduce environmental impact.

Responsibilities
• Provide overall leadership and direction for the MEP Design function across the Commercial Offices portfolio of assets, including long term temporary facilities, set and implement the MEP design strategy, aligned with business objectives, sector plans, and Qiddiya brand guidelines.
• Act as the technical authority for complex or high‑risk MEP design matters across projects.
• Hold ultimate accountability for the quality of MEP design outputs across the portfolio.
• Ensure designs are compliant, coordinated, buildable, commissionable, and aligned with relevant codes, standards, and client briefs.
• Provide technical review, challenge, and sign‑off on key design stages.
• Lead investigations and root‑cause analysis for design non‑conformance issues.
• Identify, manage, and mitigate design and delivery risks across the MEP design portfolio.
• Own / contribute to internal risk‑based audit programmes, external certification processes, and assurance reviews.
• Ensure lessons learned are captured and embedded into future design delivery.
• Provide senior design oversight across multiple projects, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and performance against KPIs.
• Support Project Directors and Design Managers on complex interface, programme, or technical issues.
• Oversee reporting of design performance data to senior leadership.
• Lead and support recruitment, succession planning, and technical skills development.
• Drive innovation in MEP design, including digital design, MMC/prefabrication, sustainability, and net‑zero solutions.
• Ensure MEP design(s) meets wider ESG, energy performance and operational efficiency outcomes Requirements
• 10-15 relevant years of experience in mechanical, electrical, or plumbing engineering, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems design and construction in commercial settings.
• Proven track record of successful project delivery within budget and time constraints.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
• Familiarity with the latest MEP technologies and sustainable practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and diverse environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
