ROLE PURPOSE
The Director, Regulatory Affairs is responsible for securing and maintaining Space42 spectrum and space authorizations throughout its multiple markets.
Responsibilities:
- Provide advice to senior management on licensing, market access, spectrum positioning, and policy strategy
- Secure, and maintain regulatory approvals and spectrum rights for complex satellite programs across multiple jurisdictions
- Support business development teams
- Manage relationships with governments, regulators, spectrum authorities, multilateral bodies, and international organizations
- Lead advocacy efforts on matters pertaining to regulatory authorizations Key Competencies
- Strong expertise in space regulation, spectrum policy, space law including national licensing regimes
- Ability to navigate complex, regulatory and spectrum allocation environments
- Stakeholder engagement and advocacy, including building credible regulatory and spectrum narratives, influencing policymakers, and representing the organization in relevant forums
- managing regulatory and spectrum-related risks, ensuring adherence to international obligations
Qualifications:
- 15+ years of progressive experience in regulatory affairs, spectrum management, or space policy
- Proven experience working with national regulatory authorities, ITU, or international spectrum coordination bodies
- Track record of securing and managing licenses and spectrum rights across multiple jurisdictions
- Experience in the space, satellite, or telecommunications industry is preferred
- Experience in government relations, public policy, or multilateral regulatory environments
