As part of our dynamic and innovative team, we are seeking a Director - Assurance & Compliance for the Transport Department Management Office (DMO) to lead the assurance and compliance functions relating to transportation projects and operations. This role is pivotal in ensuring that all transport initiatives adhere to regulatory standards, company policies, and quality frameworks while fostering a culture of safety, excellence, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
⢠Conduct compliance health checks to identify governance gaps, control weaknesses, and audit risks, and establish rectification priorities
⢠Develop and implement a structured, risk based internal audit and assurance program across all TBU projects and functions
⢠Coordinate and manage all QIC internal and external audit requests, ensuring timely, professional and high-quality responses
⢠Establish and maintain a centralised audit action tracking register to monitor and ensure on-time close-out of findings
⢠Work closely with the Commercial function to rollout continuous improvement iniatitives and ensure consistence across the projects within TBU
⢠Strengthen procurement, commercial and stage gate governance controls, ensuring adherence to Delegation of Authority (DOA) and approval requirements
⢠Support governance oversight of procurement strategies, contract awards, and commercial submissions
⢠Develop and maintain a structured SharePoint governance framework in conjunction with the Documennt Control function with clear document control and version management
⢠Ensure templates, policies and procedures are current, accessible and aligned to QIC frameworks
⢠Deliver targeted compliance and assurance training across TBU to uplift awareness and capability
⢠Embed a culture of accountability, transparency and continuous improvementRequirements
⢠15+ years of experience in Compliance, Audit, or Governance roles, ideally in large-scale projects such as construction, real estate, or urban development or Consultancy.
⢠Bachelorās or Masterās degree in Accounting, Law, Finance, Business, or related fields. MBA and/or other advanced degrees preferred.
⢠Preferred: CIA (Certified Internal Auditor), CRCM (Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager), or FRM (Financial Risk Manager).
⢠Experience with KSA regulatory requirements and familiarity with Vision 2030 goals is highly desirable.
⢠Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and address risks effectively.
⢠Proven track record of working in cross-collaborative environments and ensuring differing goals and needs align with overarching organizational strategy.
⢠Fluency in English is required
⢠Understanding of the local cultural and business landscape in Saudi Arabia through work experience in the region preferred.Benefits
