JOB PURPOSE:
To manage and grow strategic account portfolios and client relationships within the Defence and Aerospace segment; drive the delivery of tailored financial and strategic solutions that meet the complex needs of national, regional, and international defence clients. Ensure seamless service quality, oversight of the teamās day to day activities, and consistent execution of client engagements to achieve revenue growth, maintain superior client satisfaction, and protect portfolio credit quality.
The role requires deep cross functional collaboration, proactive coordination with internal stakeholders, and effective engagement with senior officials across defence ministries, aerospace manufacturers, OEMs, contractors, and international industry partners. It includes managing high stakes interactions across multiple time zones, responding to urgent mission critical requests, and ensuring rapid internal turnaround for approvals and submissions.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
ļ§ Participate in the financial analysis conducted on clients and their respective industries/ markets to identify potential opportunities and risks.
Client Relationship Management
ļ§ Originate new business opportunities with target clients across banking products
ļ§ Develop Term Sheet, Information Memorandum, mandate letterā¦.etc.;
ļ§ Examine & resolve credit, market and operational risk aspects of the transactions in collaboration with products and enablement units.
ļ§ Pitch, review , negotiate and conclude deals.
ļ§ Maintain the credit quality of the client relationships within the Portfolio to an acceptable level set by the Bankās management.
ļ§ Achieve individual and teamās financial performance targets.
ļ§ Identify & develop cross selling opportunities and increase the cross-sell ratio with key clients.
ļ§ Ensure Account Plans are prepared and maintained for all key clients.
ļ§ Ensure all clientsā files /documents are maintained.
ļ§ Ensure all credit reviews are submitted on time and agreed conditions are met.
ļ§ Maintain a satisfactory audit on the portfolio
ļ§ Learning & Development ā Attend appropriate on and off-the-job training programs.
ļ§ Ensure that all internal processes for existing portfolio and NTBs are met in line with the Bankās policies & procedures.
ļ§ Adhere to process KPIās and, ORM, BCP & Internal Audit requirements
Day-to-Day Activities
ļ§ Assist the Executive Director / Line Manager in the day-to-day administrative and transactional activities such as client calls, payment processing, documentation follow up, account openings, updating pipeline, and any other activities in the unit/team to ensure continuity of work and the delivery of effective and high quality outputs.
ļ§ Manage and follow up on KYC and compliance requirements in order to ensure consistency with the Bankās KYC and AML policies and regulatory requirements.

ļ§ Follow all relevant policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
MIS and Reports
ļ§ Assist in the preparation of timely and accurate statements and reports to meet the unitās requirements, policies, and standards.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Minimum Qualification
ļ§ Bachelorās degree in Finance , Business Management , Engineering or related discipline.
ļ§ Masterās degree in Business Administration or Finance is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes:
ļ§ Knowledge of the banking sector, and FABās products and business strategies
ļ§ Ability to work under pressure and adjust quickly to changing priorities
ļ§ Computer proficiency
ļ§ Ability to analyse and research information
ļ§ Banking software systems proficiency
ļ§ Data analysis and financial modelling skills
ļ§ Credit analysis and FOREX skills
ļ§ Communication skills
Minimum Experience
ļ§ 8-10 years of experience in corporate banking (coverage).
