Qiddiya Investment Company is seeking a dynamic Development Director for Sports Competition & Event Venues to lead the planning, design, and development of state-of-the-art sports and event facilities. This role plays a vital part in positioning Qiddiya as a premier destination for national and international sports competitions and entertainment events.

The successful candidate will manage the full development lifecycle of venues, ensuring they meet the highest standards of functionality, safety, and audience experience while aligning with Qiddiya’s strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic planning and development of sports competition and event venues, ensuring alignment with Qiddiya's vision and objectives.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, sports experts, and event managers to design and deliver world-class facilities.
• Conduct feasibility studies and market research to guide project scope, design, and delivery.
• Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure successful and timely completion of venues.
• Ensure all developments comply with relevant regulations, safety standards, and sustainability guidelines.
• Engage with stakeholders, including sports federations, event organizers, and community representatives to maximize venue utilization and relevance.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management to communicate project progress, challenges, and opportunities.
• Incorporate innovative technologies and designs to enhance venue functionality and spectator experience.
• Develop and maintain relationships with potential sponsors, partners, and investors to support project funding and operations.
• Monitor global trends in sports and event venue development and integrate best practices into Qiddiya projects.Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Architecture, Engineering, Project Management, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
• 15+ years of experience in developing sports competition and event venues or large-scale event facility projects.
• Proven leadership skills with experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong project management and budgeting expertise.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Knowledge of safety, accessibility, and sustainability standards in sports and event venue development.
• Ability to foster partnerships with sports organizations, sponsors, and government bodies.
