Data Management, Specialist

Master Works is seeking a Data Management, Specialist to support the effective management, governance, and continuous improvement of organizational data. The role will support data management initiatives, assess compliance with data-related requirements, and contribute to projects that enhance data quality, governance, accessibility, and overall data management practices. The Ideal candidate will work closely with business and technical stakeholders to ensure data is managed effectively and in alignment with organizational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and continuous improvement of data management practices and frameworks.
• Support and coordinate data management projects and initiatives across the organization.
• Develop, maintain, and implement data management policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines.
• Assess compliance with applicable data management requirements, policies, and controls.
• Prepare compliance assessments, reports, findings, and recommendations.
• Support data governance activities and promote effective data management practices across business functions.
• Collaborate with business, IT, and data stakeholders to identify and address data management requirements and issues.
• Support initiatives related to data quality, data governance, metadata, data classification, and data lifecycle management.
• Monitor data management activities and support the identification and resolution of data-related issues.
• Prepare and present data management reports, updates, and recommendations to relevant stakeholders.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to support data management initiatives.
• Stay up to date with data management standards, frameworks, and industry best practices.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management, or a related field.

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant experience in data management, data governance, or a related field.
• Experience in project management and delivering data-related initiatives.
• Practical experience and strong knowledge of data management principles, processes, and practices.
• Experience in compliance assessment, monitoring, and reporting.

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of data management and data governance concepts.
• Good understanding of data management processes, standards, and frameworks.
• Knowledge of data quality, metadata, data classification, data governance, and data lifecycle management.
• Ability to assess compliance against data-related requirements, policies, and controls.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to translate findings into clear recommendations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
• Good project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
