Job Description
Role Purpose
The Cybersecurity and IT Operations Lead is responsible for ensuring the secure, reliable, and efficient operation of IT services across the organisation. The role oversees daily IT operations while coordinating cybersecurity activities to protect systems, users, and organisational data.
Key Responsibilities
IT Operations & Service Delivery
• Oversee day-to-day IT operations to ensure availability, stability, and performance of workplace, infrastructure, and business systems.
• Manage IT support processes to ensure timely response, resolution, and escalation of user requests and incidents.
• Identify recurring operational issues and coordinate corrective actions to improve service quality.
• Maintain effective IT asset lifecycle management, including inventory, assignment, return, and secure decommissioning.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers to ensure service delivery aligns with agreed standards and support expectations.
Cybersecurity Operations & Controls
• Support implementation and operation of cybersecurity controls across IT services and platforms.
• Monitor and coordinate response to basic security alerts and incidents in collaboration with internal teams and vendors.
• Ensure access management practices follow approved standards, including account lifecycle management and secure access controls.
• Support vulnerability management activities and coordinate patching and remediation actions.
• Contribute to cybersecurity awareness initiatives and follow-up actions related to training or phishing simulations.
Governance, Risk & Compliance Support
• Ensure IT and security operations align with approved internal policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
• Support internal and external audit activities by maintaining operational documentation and evidence when required.
• Assist with third-party and vendor coordination to ensure basic security and operational requirements are met.
• Track and highlight operational risks, gaps, or dependencies to management for awareness and action.
Stakeholder & Team Coordination
• Act as a primary coordination point between the Digital Transformation team and key stakeholders, including business units and external vendors.
• Maintain clear and consistent communication by providing status updates, managing expectations, and escalating issues when required.
• Ensure the team follows communication and service standards, including acknowledgements and status updates.
• Promote a collaborative and accountable team environment focused on service quality and process adherence.
• Support management with operational insights to enable informed decision-making.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience in IT operations with exposure to cybersecurity practices.
• Understanding of IT service management processes.
• Experience coordinating with vendors and managing service delivery.
