Role : Credit Analyst
Location : Dubai
Role Purpose:
Role holder will go through on the job training and working on credit analysis.
- The job holder will be expected to support the overall maintenance of the assigned tasks within Credit Departments – these may include but not limited to preparation of credit approval packages, AC memos, Credit Round Table ‘CRT’ discussion materials, credit file maintenance.
Key Accountabilities of the role
- Support RMs and ARMs in the review and preparation of credit approval packages, AC memos, Credit Round Table ‘CRT’ discussion materials etc. and ensure the same are completed as per the bank’s requirements
- May attend client calls/meetings in conjunction with the RM/Division Head in relation to the client’s banking requirements
- Support preparation of spreadsheets and perform financial analysis incl. basic financial modeling [if applicable] and qualitative analysis to support analysis of potential and existing credit applications
- Carry out initial market checking and monitor credit worthiness of obligors/counterparties including search for negative press articles, rating agencies.
- May be asked to liaise with Risk in relation to the credit approval packages such as responding to queries and comments from Risk Management etc.
- Prepare necessary security and other documents in liaison with Legal & Sharia departmentsProcess Implementation
• Support Frontline staff to track review dates, and ensure all facilities are renewed/deferred on a timely basic
• Ensure consistency, accuracy, quality, and integrity of all proposals/memos
• Maintain and reconcile the credit files and identify discrepancies and variance
• Ensure complete adherence to all KPIs (Turnaround time (TAT), Credit package quality, Review dates, etc.)
• Support the credit analyst in assessing the creditworthiness of the counterparties and evaluate Credit proposals for lending.
• Where required liase with relationship managers, Business Lines, Legal staff, Risk division and other stakeholders to obtain information
• Support the credit analyst in ensuring that new transactions and credit renewals meet the banks risk appetite criteria, credit policies and procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Keep abreast of both macro and micro economic developments and any regulatory changes that might impact the relevant portfolio under coverage
