Monitoring and updating cost estimates for projects to ensure that costs are within expected ranges.
Preparing and analyzing comparisons of scope, quantities and cost data between the project forecasts and the budgets.
Organize, monitor, and control project costs and will define project needs for cost control in accordance with contractual requirements, objectives, and Company procedures.
Coordinating with other departments such as human resources, payroll, accounting, and finance to ensure that all costs are accurately tracked.
Ensure that all project commitments are accurately reported and will maintain updated final project forecasts and expenditure forecasts.
Proactively advise management when forecasted costs exceed the approved budget and will recommend corrective actions.
Able to use statistical tools to analyze cost metrics and perform risk analysis.
Attending project meetings and discussions with the external clients if needed.
Analyze cost reports and extract required data for management reporting.
Prepare and report cost engineering information on a monthly basis and when required for management.
Identifying the critical areas and informing the management regarding delays in the project.
Coordinate and work with the project management team to resolve project issues to ensure the delivery/completion of the project work.
Provides all cost engineering expertise and coordinates activities as group/unit leader as required in preparation of cost portion of the Oil & Gas industry for Shutdown/Turnaround , Projects , LFC / MFC/ EPC Contracts.
Reviews and analyzes all claims and Change Orders on project contracts.
Participates in the negotiation of project contracts as required.
Requirements
Mechanical Engineer / Finance or accounts background from Recognized university.
Master’s degree in engineering or MBA is a plus.
Related to oil and gas maintenance / Shutdown and Turnaround.
Professional Experience:
6-8 years of experience in costing and budgeting especially from oil and gas sector for Shutdown / turnaround
ERP - Microsoft Dynamics AX 365
Requirements
- •Mechanical Engineer / Finance or accounts background from a recognized university
- •6-8 years of experience in costing and budgeting, especially in the oil and gas sector for shutdowns/turnarounds
- •Experience with ERP - Microsoft Dynamics AX 365
