Role Overview
• Position: Consultant / Specialist Surgical Oncologist
• Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates
• Healthcare Setting: Multispecialty hospital with dedicated oncology and surgical services
• Experience Required: Minimum 3+ years post specialist or board certification
• Practice Model: Surgical oncology care within a fully equipped hospital with access to ICU, oncology services, advanced imaging, and minimally invasive surgical technologiesThe successful candidate will provide specialised surgical management for patients with benign and malignant tumours, ensuring high standards of patient safety, clinical excellence, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
Key Responsibilities – Surgical Oncology
• Evaluate, diagnose, and develop comprehensive surgical treatment plans for patients with solid tumours and cancer-related conditions.
• Perform complex oncological surgeries, including tumour resections, organ-preserving procedures, and reconstructive techniques where appropriate.
• Collaborate with medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, radiologists, and pathologists in multidisciplinary tumour boards to optimise patient outcomes.
• Ensure appropriate preoperative assessment and postoperative care, including complication management and follow-up.
• Utilise minimally invasive and advanced surgical techniques where clinically appropriate.
• Provide patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment options, risks, and expected outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and detailed clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory and institutional standards.
• Adhere to evidence-based oncology guidelines and international best practices.
• Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and oncology program development.
• Contribute to academic activities, research, and continuous professional development where applicable.
• Ensure compliance with UAE healthcare regulations, ethical standards, and hospital policies.Requirements
Qualifications & Board Recognition
