Role Overview
• Position: Consultant / Specialist Nephrologist
• Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates
• Hospital Type: Private / Government / Multispecialty / Tertiary Care (JCI-accredited)
• Experience Required: Minimum 3–5+ years post board certification
• Clinical Scope: Nephrology, dialysis (hemodialysis & peritoneal dialysis), CKD management, transplant nephrology
The successful candidate will provide comprehensive renal care, working closely with intensivists, endocrinologists, and transplant teams.
Key Responsibilities
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic kidney diseases (CKD, AKI, glomerular disorders)
• Oversee and manage hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis programs
• Provide care for patients undergoing renal transplantation (pre- and post-transplant management)
• Manage electrolyte imbalances, hypertension, and fluid disorders
• Conduct and interpret renal function tests, kidney biopsies, and imaging
• Provide inpatient and outpatient nephrology consultations
• Collaborate with ICU teams for critical care nephrology cases
• Participate in clinical governance, quality assurance, and infection control programs
• Educate patients and families on long-term kidney disease management
• Supervise junior doctors and contribute to academic and training programsRequirements
Eligibility & Board Recognition
We welcome applications from internationally trained nephrologists with recognised qualifications such as:
• American Board of Internal Medicine (Nephrology)
• UK CCT / MRCP + Nephrology Specialty Training
• European Board Certification
• Royal College Certification (Canada)
• Australian Fellowship
• Arab Board
• DM / DNB Nephrology / FCPS or equivalent recognised super-specialty qualification
Candidates should be eligible for Dubai Health Authority (DHA) / Department of Health Abu Dhabi (DOH) license conversion (full support provided).
