ABOUT THE ROLE
A leading, internationally accredited healthcare provider in the UAE is expanding its mental health services and is seeking a highly skilled Consultant Psychiatrist to join its growing clinical team. ROLE OVERVIEW
The successful candidate will work within a multidisciplinary mental health environment supported by psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, therapists, social workers and other healthcare professionals. The role will involve the assessment, diagnosis and comprehensive management of patients presenting with a broad range of psychiatric and behavioural health conditions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments, including clinical history, mental status examination and risk assessment.
• Diagnose and manage a broad range of psychiatric conditions across outpatient and inpatient settings, according to clinical scope.
• Develop individualised treatment plans incorporating pharmacological and appropriate psychological or behavioural interventions.
• Monitor treatment response, medication effectiveness and potential adverse effects, adjusting treatment plans as clinically appropriate.
• Manage patients with acute psychiatric presentations and provide appropriate risk assessment and intervention.
• Collaborate with psychologists, therapists, social workers, primary care physicians and other specialists to ensure integrated patient care.
• Provide patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment options, recovery and relapse prevention.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with patient confidentiality, safety and clinical governance standards.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, quality improvement initiatives and mental health service development.

• American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
• UK CCT / MRCPsych with recognised specialist training in Psychiatry
• European Board of Psychiatry or equivalent recognised qualification
• Royal College Certification (Canada)
• Australian FRANZCP
• Arab Board
• MD / DNB / FCPS or equivalent recognised specialist qualification in Psychiatry
