About the Role
SearchPlus HR is seeking an experienced Consultant Orthopedic Spine Surgeon to join a leading healthcare organization in the UAE.
The successful candidate will provide expert surgical and non-surgical management of complex spinal conditions and contribute to a multidisciplinary spine service focused on high-quality, evidence-based patient care.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide consultant-level assessment, diagnosis and management of patients with spinal disorders.
• Perform appropriate surgical and non-surgical interventions for cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine conditions.
• Manage degenerative spinal disorders, disc disease, spinal stenosis, deformities and other complex spinal conditions.
• Perform spinal decompression, discectomy, fusion and other appropriate spine procedures within the scope of expertise.
• Evaluate and manage spinal trauma, fractures and selected spinal emergencies.
• Assess patients with spinal deformity, instability and complex degenerative conditions.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and imaging.
• Interpret relevant MRI, CT, X-ray and other diagnostic imaging.
• Provide appropriate conservative management and determine when surgical intervention is indicated.
• Collaborate closely with neurosurgeons, neurologists, radiologists, physiotherapists and other multidisciplinary specialists.
• Provide pre-operative counselling and post-operative follow-up.
• Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement and evidence-based surgical practice.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with UAE healthcare regulatory standards.
Medical degree with a recognised postgraduate qualification in Orthopedic Surgery / Orthopaedics.
Fellowship or advanced subspecialty training in Spine Surgery / Orthopedic Spine Surgery strongly preferred.
Proven consultant-level experience in orthopedic spine surgery.
Strong experience managing complex spinal and degenerative conditions.
Tier 1 / Western qualification strongly preferred, including:
- UK CCT / CCST
- American Board
- Canadian Royal College – RCPSC
- Irish Board
- Australian / New Zealand recognised qualifications
- Other recognised Tier 1 international qualificationsStrong surgical and clinical decision-making skills.
Eligible for Consultant-level UAE licensing, subject to assessment by the relevant health authority.
Arabic-speaking candidates are preferred.

Requirements
- •Medical degree with recognized postgraduate qualification in Orthopedic Surgery / Orthopaedics
- •Fellowship or advanced subspecialty training in Spine Surgery strongly preferred
- •Proven consultant-level experience in orthopedic spine surgery
- •Strong experience managing complex spinal and degenerative conditions
- •Tier 1 / Western qualification strongly preferred (UK CCT/CCST, American Board, Canadian Royal College, Irish Board, Australian/New Zealand)
- •Eligible for Consultant-level UAE licensing
