We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Emergency Medicine to join a leading healthcare provider in Dubai, UAE. The successful candidate will provide high-quality emergency medical care, managing patients with acute illnesses, trauma, and life-threatening conditions in a fast-paced emergency department while working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, stabilize, and manage patients presenting with acute medical, surgical, pediatric, and traumatic emergencies.
- Perform rapid clinical evaluations and initiate evidence-based treatment plans.
- Lead the resuscitation and stabilization of critically ill and injured patients.
- Perform emergency procedures including airway management, intubation, procedural sedation, central venous access, chest tube insertion, cardioversion, and point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS), where credentialed.
- Coordinate patient care with specialty consultants and facilitate timely admissions, transfers, or discharges.
- Supervise junior physicians, residents, and emergency department staff.
- Ensure accurate and timely medical documentation in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, quality improvement initiatives, morbidity and mortality reviews, clinical audits, and Continuing Medical Education (CME).
- Promote patient safety, infection prevention, and compliance with clinical governance standards.
- Contribute to disaster preparedness, emergency response planning, and departmental training programs.Requirements
Qualifications & Requirements
- MBBS/MD with a recognized postgraduate qualification in Emergency Medicine.
- Board Certification or equivalent recognized Consultant qualification in Emergency Medicine (such as Arab Board, CCT, CCST, FRCP, FACEM, FRCPC, ABEM, or equivalent).
- Minimum 5β10 years of post-specialization experience at the Consultant level.
- Eligibility for or possession of a Dubai Health Authority (DHA) Consultant license. Candidates eligible for licensing are encouraged to apply.
- Current certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) is preferred.
- Strong expertise in emergency resuscitation, trauma management, critical care, and point-of-care ultrasound.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered emergency care.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience working in internationally accredited tertiary hospitals with high-volume emergency departments.
- UAE or GCC experience is preferred but not mandatory.
- Fellowship training in Trauma, Critical Care, Emergency Ultrasound, Toxicology, or Pediatric Emergency Medicine is an added advantage.Benefits
