Your Day to Day

As a Commis Pastry Chef, you will work closely with experienced pastry chefs to assist in the preparation, baking, finishing, and presentation of a variety of high-quality pastries, desserts, breads, and other sweet creations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for pastry and baking who is eager to develop their culinary skills in a professional, world-class kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with daily preparation of pastries, desserts, cakes, and bakery items.
• Measure and prepare ingredients accurately according to recipes.
• Support baking, decorating, finishing, and presentation of pastry products.
• Maintain high standards of quality, taste, and consistency.
• Keep the pastry section clean, organized, and hygienic.
• Check ingredient freshness and follow proper storage and stock rotation.
• Support the pastry team during daily production and service.What We Need From You

Ideally, you'll have some or all of the following competencies and experience we're looking for:

• Previous experience in a kitchen environment is an advantage, but not essential
• A passion for cooking and an eagerness to learn and develop culinary skills
• Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
• Strong work ethic with attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
• Flexibility and willingness to work in various kitchen stations
