Key Highlights of the Role:

• Prepare and present dishes consistently to the highest culinary standards.

• Support daily kitchen operations and ensure your section is organized and service-ready.

• Work closely with the Chef de Partie, Sous Chef, and kitchen team to deliver outstanding guest experiences.

• Contribute to menu execution, recipe consistency, and continuous culinary innovation.

• Assist with stock control, food storage, and waste reduction initiatives.

• Maintain excellent food safety, hygiene, and sanitation practices at all times.

• Share knowledge, mentor junior team members, and participate in cross-training opportunities.

• Monitor product quality and kitchen equipment, reporting any concerns promptly.

• Support smooth kitchen operations by being flexible and assisting other sections when required.

• Uphold the hotel's professional standards, grooming guidelines, and sustainability initiatives.

POSITION SUMMARY

Prepare special meals or substitute items. Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters. Pull food from freezer storage to thaw in the refrigerator. Ensure proper portion, arrangement, and food garnish. Maintain food logs. Monitor the quality and quantity of food that is prepared. Communicate assistance needed during busy periods. Inform Chef of excess food items for use in daily specials. Inform Food & Beverage service staff of menu specials and out of stock menu items. Ensure the quality of the food items. Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist. Prepare cold foods.
