Our client, a leading restaurant in Dubai, is seeking a skilled Commis 1 Butcher to join their kitchen team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and handling meat and fish products according to company standards, ensuring the highest level of quality and hygiene in the meat preparation area.
Key Responsibilities:
• Inspect incoming deliveries of meat and fish for quality and quantity compliance.
• Prepare and cut meat and fish products following standard recipes and portion control guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of meat and fish preparation areas, including proper storage in refrigerators and freezers.
• Collaborate closely with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef to ensure timely preparation and availability of meat products.
• Operate and maintain butcher equipment and machinery safely and efficiently.
• Follow all safety and sanitation regulations and participate in area inspections.This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated butcher to be part of a dynamic kitchen team in a reputable Dubai restaurant.
Requirements
• Minimum of 3 years experience as a butcher in hotels, restaurants, or cruise ships.
• Proficiency in preparing various meat and fish products to specified company standards.
• Culinary diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of quality control, portion control, and proper storage techniques.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a kitchen team.
