Role Summary
The Clinical & IT Applications Consultant role acts as the conversion engine translating customersā clinical and IT requirements into commercially viable, revenue-generating solutions through Leica Biosystems Digital Pathology products and services in Saudi Arabia, enabling the customers to embark on a seamless digital transformation journey.
This position reports to the Regional Sales Manager, META ā Digital Pathology and is part of the META Digital Pathology Organization. The role is based in Saudi Arabia and is fully remote.
Key Responsibilities
⢠Develop trusted relationships with customers and key stakeholders (clinical, IT, and procurement), acting as a consultative advisor
⢠Translate customer needs, workflows, and constraints into comprehensive, scalable end-to-end solution designs
⢠Design digital pathology solutions (WSI, IMS, AI, LIS integration, infrastructure) aligned with clinical and operational requirements
⢠Deliver advanced customer demonstrations (clinical IT workflows)
⢠Lead/support technical and clinical tender responses (compliance matrices, BoQs, architectures)
⢠Define and validate third-party IT requirements and quotations (servers, storage, networking)
⢠Provide clinical and technical training to pathologists, lab staff, and IT teams
⢠Support deployments and post-go-live optimizationEssential Requirements
⢠Degree in Biomedical Sciences, Medical Technology, Biomedical Engineering, or Health Informatics
⢠Hybrid clinicalāIT background strongly preferred
⢠Proven exposure to:
⢠LIS integration, DICOM / HL7, PACS workflows with related servers and cloud-based infrastructure
⢠Pre-sales, demos, and tendering
⢠Lab/pathology environments
⢠Strong customer engagement skills at all levels, with the ability to establish clear, differentiated solution-based value proposition.Travel Requirements
⢠Ability to travel domestically up to 75% for full geographical coverage.
⢠International travel may be required, but less frequently.Nice to Have
It would be a plus if you also bring experience in:
