- Allocate tasks to crew members and supervise activities to ensure that safe operating procedures are followed
- Analyze and remedy issues/faults that are beyond the scope of Chief Electrician subordinates
- Keep track of inventory and liaise with superiors for the procurement of required spare parts, without undue overstocking
- Ensure that work areas are kept clean and safe working practices are employed
- Maintain appropriate records of work done and consumables used
- Prepare scope of maintenance/repair works required for dry-dock / non-commissioned vessels, equipment and installations and work in close coordination with superiors to monitor subcontracted work
- Compliance in accordance with section/Company policies & procedures, Policy of Integrity & Code of Conduct and HSE standards
- Implement maintenance programs
- Review detailed daily, weekly and monthly work plans, allocate duties and monitor performance to ensure deadlines are met and that completed work meets set standards
- Train and mentor junior colleagues in job methodology to enable them to gain an understanding how work is to be undertaken and to improve their effectiveness
Requirements
- •Ability to analyze and remedy complex electrical faults
- •Knowledge of HSE standards and Company policies
- •Experience in inventory tracking and procurement liaison
- •Ability to prepare maintenance scopes for dry-dock/non-commissioned vessels
- •Strong mentoring and training skills for junior colleagues
