Job Description
- Manage and oversee the Italian kitchen section, ensuring the preparation and presentation of authentic Italian dishes to the highest quality standards.
- Supervise, guide, and support Commis Chefs and kitchen team members during food preparation and service.
- Ensure all mise en place is prepared, organized, and stocked before service periods.
- Maintain consistency in recipes, portion control, and presentation according to restaurant standards.
- Monitor food quality, freshness, and proper storage procedures to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.
- Collaborate with the senior chefs in menu development and seasonal specials.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and health regulations at all times.
- Support smooth kitchen operations during busy service periods while maintaining a positive and professional work environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or strong Demi Chef de Partie experience in an Italian restaurant or upscale dining establishment.
- Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine, including pasta, risotto, sauces, and traditional Italian cooking techniques.
- Proven ability to supervise and motivate junior kitchen staff.
- Excellent understanding of food safety, HACCP standards, and kitchen best practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Passion for Italian gastronomy and commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
