At Stryker, we are driven to make healthcare better. We are seeking a strategic and people-focused Business Unit Manager, Instruments to lead the growth and commercial success of our MENA Instruments business. Reporting directly to the Senior Business Unit Director, EEMEA, this role will be part of the MENA Leadership Team and will hold full P&L responsibility for the region.
The Business Unit Manager will define and execute the commercial strategy across MENA, build and develop high-performing teams, and strengthen customer partnerships to accelerate sustainable growth. This role requires a forward-thinking, visionary leader who can navigate a dynamic, multicultural environment while driving operational excellence and long-term business impact.
What will you do:
- Develop and execute the commercial strategy for the MENA Instruments business to achieve sustainable revenue and market share growth.
- Lead the region with full ownership of financial performance, including sales revenue, profitability, and operating income targets.
- Build, lead, and develop high-performing commercial teams, creating a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous growth.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration with marketing, operations, and regional leadership teams to support strategic business objectives.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities through direct and indirect sales channels across the region.
- Build strong relationships with key healthcare stakeholders, customers, distributors, and opinion leaders to strengthen Stryker’s market presence.
- Contribute to long-term strategic planning, including market expansion, organizational development, and future growth initiatives.
- Lead through change with agility and adaptability in a fast-paced and evolving business environment.
What will you need:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare, Life Sciences, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of commercial experience, including minimum 3-5 years in leadership roles within a multinational medical device company.
- Proven track record of delivering commercial growth and achieving financial targets within the MENA region.
- Experience building and scaling teams, including developing organizations from the ground up.
- Strong strategic mindset with the ability to plan and execute long-term business objectives over a 2–3 year horizon.
- Demonstrated success managing multicultural teams and working effectively across diverse markets and cultures.
- Strong business acumen with excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to adapt and lead effectively within a dynamic and changing organization.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree or/and MBA are nice to have.
- Ideally more than 8 years of leadership experience
- Experience managing both direct and indirect distribution models across MENA.
Travel Percentage: 40%
