Job Description
Overview:
The Business Incubator Manager will lead the planning, development, execution, and continuous improvement of the incubator program while serving as the primary point of contact for entrepreneurs, mentors, partners, investors, and other stakeholders. This hands-on role requires a proactive professional who can balance strategy with execution, overseeing day-to-day operations, designing and managing incubation programs, supporting startup growth, building strategic partnerships, and ensuring an exceptional experience for participating ventures. The successful candidate will play a key role in strengthening the entrepreneurial ecosystem, driving program performance, and contributing to the overall success and impact of the incubator.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Development & Management
- Plan, develop, and manage the incubator’s programs, initiatives, and activities from inception to completion.
- Design and continuously improve program structures, processes, playbooks, policies, and operational frameworks.
- Develop and manage program schedules, including workshops, training sessions, mentorship meetings, networking events, demo days, pitch sessions, and other activities.
- Ensure successful delivery of all program components while maintaining quality standards and participant satisfaction.
- Monitor program performance and implement improvements based on feedback, data, and industry best practices.Startup Recruitment & Support
- Source, evaluate, recruit, and onboard high-potential startups into the incubator program.
- Conduct startup assessments and support the selection process.
- Provide hands-on advisory support to founders in areas including business strategy, business models, market validation, customer acquisition, operations, fundraising, financial planning, branding, and growth.
- Act as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for incubated startups.
- Monitor startup progress, identify challenges, and provide practical solutions and guidance.
- Support startups in accessing relevant resources, mentors, partners, investors, and market opportunities.Stakeholder & Partnership Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with government entities, corporates, universities, investors, mentors, service providers, and ecosystem partners.
- Identify and establish strategic partnerships that enhance the incubator’s value proposition and impact.
- Coordinate with external consultants, trainers, and subject matter experts to deliver high-quality support services.
- Represent the incubator and SEA Ventures at meetings, events, conferences, and industry engagements.Operations & Administration
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the incubator and ensure smooth program execution.
- Manage participant communications, documentation, records, and reporting requirements.
- Coordinate logistics for workshops, meetings, events, site visits, and startup activities.
- Ensure compliance with program policies, procedures, and contractual obligations.
- Support budgeting, resource planning, and operational efficiency initiatives.Team Leadership
- Lead, supervise, and support Program Associates and other project-based team members.
- Set objectives, monitor performance, and provide coaching and guidance to team members.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and training activities when required.
- Foster a collaborative, entrepreneurial, and high-performance culture within the team.Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting
- Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and success metrics for the incubator program.
- Design and administer surveys, assessments, and feedback mechanisms.
- Analyze program and startup performance data to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure timely reporting of program outcomes.
- Prepare and present weekly, monthly, quarterly, and final program reports, dashboards, impact assessments, and executive presentations, ensuring accurate tracking of startup progress, program KPIs, milestones, outcomes, and stakeholder requirements.Business Development & Ecosystem Engagement
- Identify opportunities to expand and enhance the incubator’s offerings and impact.
- Contribute to business development efforts, proposal development, and new program opportunities.
- Support the integration of incubator services with SEA Ventures’ broader business lines and strategic initiatives.
- Stay informed of ecosystem trends, startup support best practices, innovation frameworks, and emerging opportunities.General Responsibilities
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to support the objectives of the incubator and SEA Ventures.
- Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, confidentiality, and a commitment to excellence in all activities.
- Willingness to accommodate after-hours commitments based on project needs.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in startup incubation, acceleration, entrepreneurship support, innovation, consulting, or program management.
- Strong understanding of startup ecosystems, venture building, and entrepreneurship.
- Excellent stakeholder management and partnership-building skills.
- Strong project management, organizational, and reporting capabilities.
- Experience delivering workshops, mentoring founders, or managing entrepreneurial programs.
- Willingness to take ownership and be hands-on in both strategic and operational activities.
