Job Purpose
To support the Chief Business Development Officer in attracting and onboarding FinTech companies and strategic partners, strengthening client relationships, and promoting the organization as a leading global financial hub. The role involves proactive business development, market research, industry engagement, and delivering exceptional client service to facilitate the successful establishment and growth of FinTech businesses within the centre.
Key Responsibilities
1. Relationship Management
• Proactively engage with existing clients and channel partners to understand their business needs and growth potential.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with FinTech companies, intermediaries, and key stakeholders.
• Develop referral channels and leverage networks to attract new clients.
• Deliver exceptional client service and ensure long-term partnerships.
2. FinTech Business Development
• Identify, target, and attract FinTech companies globally to establish their presence within the organization.
• Develop and execute strategic initiatives to drive growth within the FinTech sector.
• Generate new business through networking, industry events, roadshows, and direct outreach.
• Collaborate with leadership to implement strategies that promote the organization’s offerings and services.
• Stay abreast of market trends, competitive dynamics, and industry developments.
3. Channel Partner Development
• Develop and manage relationships with channel partners to drive growth across markets and segments.
• Identify and onboard new partners locally and internationally.
• Support and train partners while managing their performance.
• Provide insights and recommendations to enhance market penetration and client acquisition.
4. Client Onboarding and Support
• Support clients throughout the business setup process, including registration, licensing, and office establishment.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure a seamless onboarding experience.
• Assist clients with operational requirements such as leasing, regulatory liaison, and employee sponsorship.
• Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and service excellence.
5. Market Research and Industry Engagement
• Conduct research and analyse industry data to identify opportunities for growth.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and briefings for senior management.
• Represent the organization at conferences, trade events, and networking forums.
• Enhance brand awareness and strengthen market positioning.
6. Departmental Support and Process Improvement
• Provide recommendations to improve operational efficiency and enhance client experience.
• Support cross-functional collaboration to align business development initiatives.
• Maintain accurate records using CRM systems and prepare performance reports.
• Assist in internal projects and strategic initiatives as required.
7. Information Security and Compliance
• Adhere to information security policies, procedures, and organizational standards.
• Ensure confidentiality and integrity of sensitive information.
• Report any potential risks or security incidents to the appropriate authorities.
Candidate Profile
Relevant Experience
• 6–8 years of experience in business development, sales, or client relationship management.
• Proven track record in FinTech sales and client acquisition.
• Experience in financial services, technology, or innovation-driven environments.
• Prior experience working with financial hubs, free zones, or regulatory authorities is highly advantageous.
• Strong understanding of global FinTech trends and ecosystems.
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
Technical Skills and Knowledge
• Strong knowledge of the financial services and FinTech industry.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and business setup processes in international financial centres.
• Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
