About the Job
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Associate Director - Engineering - Architecture and Spatial Design to join Jumeirah Group & Corporate. The main duties and responsibilities of this role include:
• Lead coordinated planning, review, and technical oversight of all MEP, Public Health, and Fire & Life Safety systems to ensure alignment with architectural intent, hotel operations, brand standards, and long-term asset performance.
• Interpret architectural and MEP drawings across guestrooms, Front of House, Back of House, F&B, Spa, and leisure areas, with clear understanding of adjacencies, circulation, and guest, staff, and service flows.
• Review and assess electrical systems, including power distribution, emergency power, lighting and controls, and low-current systems, ensuring reliability, redundancy, and maintainability expected in luxury hotels.
• Evaluate mechanical and HVAC systems such as chilled water, DX, AHUs, FCUs, ventilation, and energy efficiency solutions, with focus on thermal comfort, acoustics, humidity control, and guest comfort.
• Assess plumbing and public health systems covering water supply, hot water, drainage, grease management, water treatment, and efficiency, with attention to peak demand, redundancy, and water quality.
• Coordinate Fire & Life Safety systems, including detection, suppression, smoke management, stair pressurisation, and fire pumps, ensuring full integration with building layouts, operations, and ongoing maintenance needs.
About You
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
• Minimum 5 years of experience in MEP design, coordination, or project delivery within luxury hotels, upscale hospitality, or mixed-use developments with hotel components.
• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering, with professional accreditation or progress toward chartership preferred, and exposure to international hospitality codes and standards.
• Proven experience working with architects, interior designers, specialist consultants, hotel operators, brand technical teams, and contractors across design development and construction stages.
• Methodical and detail-focused professional with strong coordination and communication skills, able to translate technical designs into practical, operational solutions in multidisciplinary environments.About the Benefits

Requirements
