Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Assistant Resident Engineer - ElectroMechanical to join our engineering team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will support our senior engineering staff in the design, implementation, and maintenance of electromechanical systems. You will work on-site to ensure efficient operation of complex electrical and mechanical equipment while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your technical expertise in a dynamic industrial environment.
- Assist senior engineers in the design, analysis, and optimization of electromechanical systems and components
- Conduct detailed technical troubleshooting and diagnostics of electrical and mechanical equipment to identify and resolve issues efficiently
- Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, reports, and drawings using CAD software and other design tools
- Perform regular site inspections and equipment monitoring to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with safety standards
- Support project planning, scheduling, and coordination activities with cross-functional teams
- Maintain organized and detailed records of equipment performance, maintenance activities, and system modifications
- Analyze system performance data and provide recommendations for process improvements
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and automation teams to ensure seamless integration of systems
- Ensure all work adheres to relevant safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies
- Participate in equipment testing, commissioning, and validation activities
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of professional experience in electromechanical engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related technical field
- Strong proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD or equivalent) for technical design and documentation
- Solid understanding of electrical systems, circuit analysis, and electrical component selection
- Solid understanding of mechanical design principles, mechanical systems, and equipment operation
- Experience with PLC programming and industrial automation systems
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and analytical mindset with attention to detail
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate technical records
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnostic techniques for complex systems
- Familiarity with industrial safety standards and best practices
- Preferred: Experience with MATLAB, simulation software, or other engineering analysis tools
- Preferred: Relevant technical certifications in electromechanical engineering or related disciplines
- Preferred: Experience with equipment commissioning and system validation
