Job Description

We're looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Architect - Rail to join our organization in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing comprehensive rail infrastructure solutions that meet the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and innovation. You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver world-class rail systems that support the region's transportation objectives.

• Design and develop rail infrastructure systems, including track layouts, station facilities, signaling systems, and operational infrastructure
• Conduct comprehensive feasibility studies and technical assessments to evaluate project requirements and constraints
• Prepare detailed architectural drawings, technical specifications, and design documentation using industry-standard tools and methodologies
• Analyze complex system requirements and propose optimized solutions that balance technical performance, cost-effectiveness, and regulatory compliance
• Collaborate with engineering teams, project managers, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution and alignment with organizational objectives
• Ensure all designs comply with applicable safety standards, regulatory requirements, and international rail industry best practices
• Oversee the implementation phase of projects, providing technical guidance and quality assurance to ensure designs are executed as specified
• Maintain and manage comprehensive technical documentation, including design records, change logs, and project deliverables
• Participate in design reviews and provide expert recommendations to optimize system performance and reliability
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends in rail infrastructure and transportation systems

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in rail infrastructure design, transportation systems architecture, or related engineering disciplines
• Proven expertise in rail system design, including track systems, stations, signaling, and operational infrastructure
• Advanced proficiency with CAD software and design tools (AutoCAD, Revit, or equivalent)
• Strong knowledge of railway standards and regulations (EN, IEC, and local UAE standards)
• Demonstrated experience managing large-scale infrastructure projects from concept through completion
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate complex technical challenges
• Strong project management capabilities and experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams
• Proficiency in technical documentation and the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly
• Knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and integrated design methodologies (preferred)
• Experience with cost estimation and budget management for infrastructure projects (preferred)
• Familiarity with safety standards and regulatory compliance frameworks in the rail industry
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in all technical deliverables
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English
