Job Purpose
At the Emirates Group, our Internal Audit function is critical in supporting our organisationās efforts in assuring risk management, internal control, and governance across the group.
The role of the Analyst (IT Audit) is to support Information Technology (IT) Audit Managers and Principals to plan and conduct assurance / advisory assignments across the Emirates Group, using specialist industry and IT technical skills, with the objective of providing assurance on risks and controls, and developing actions for management to mitigate identified risks. The Analyst will provide risk related inputs for the departmentās assurance planning process, proactively share knowledge and provide support to Internal Audit staff on industry practices, risk identification techniques, and data analytics.
In this role, you will:
⢠Conduct assurance / advisory assignments of the Group's activities both in Dubai and overseas locations using specialist IT technical audit skills.
⢠Work closely with Internal Audit Managers in scoping assurance / advisory assignments and developing work programmes to review IT risks / controls across a diverse range of IT environments, including the following: servers, networks, databases, business applications, cybersecurity, IT processes and projects.
⢠Determine the best audit approach, techniques and procedures required to complete the audit programme, to form an opinion on the effectiveness of the control environment and identification of business improvement opportunities. Collect, validate, analyse data, and conduct testing to assess risks and effectiveness of controls in areas including, but not limited to: IT infrastructure, architecture, application systems, IT projects, information/cybersecurity (e.g., network, operating system, cloud, database, security incident response); disaster contingency planning and IT processes.
⢠Document working papers in support of assignment outcomes in accordance with ISACA and Internal Audit department standards.
⢠Draft the internal audit report, follow up on responses and agreed actions with management to assess satisfactory completion, and escalate to Managers / Principals as required. Discuss assurance / advisory outcomes with the appropriate level of management in the business.
⢠Work with IT Audit managers to perform risk assessments and periodic monitoring of the IT risk profile of the Groupās business units.
⢠Suggest and implement āadvancedā assurance methods and techniques to optimise assurance activity.
Qualification
To be considered for this role, you must meet the below requirements:
⢠Have a completed Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) Degree in a subject relevant to IT (e.g., Computer Science, Software Engineering).
⢠Professional IT audit qualification (CISA, CISM, CISSP etc).
⢠5+ years of cumulative experience in Information Technology or CyberSecurity or IT Audit.
⢠Consideration may be given to those with fewer years provided they have suitable audit experience.
Knowledge/skills:
⢠Experience in auditing / risk management or equivalent exposure in jobs involving review of IT systems, processes, systems and procedures, cybersecurity, analysis of management information, etc.
⢠Working knowledge of business systems / applications / components (e.g., ERP, firewalls, servers etc)
⢠Familiarity with the use of analytic applications (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI, MicroStrategy etc.) and data mining techniques (SQL, Informatica PowerCentre)
⢠Aptitude for continuous learning (new technological developments), handling diverse projects concurrently and independent work
⢠Excellent conceptual, numerical, and analytical skills
⢠Strong communication and presentation skills
⢠Knowledge of Microsoft applications like PowerPoint, Excel etc., and major enterprise applications (e.g. ERP applications)
⢠Knowledge of airline, travel agency, catering and ground handling is an advantage
⢠Willingness to travel - this role requires international travel
⢠International experience preferred

Requirements
- ā¢Completed Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) in an IT-relevant subject
