Overview Of The Role:

• The Service Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of a team of technicians, ensuring vehicle repair and service activities are carried out efficiently. The role involves managing resources, preparing job allocations, maintaining quality checks, and monitoring operational targets to achieve set efficiency levels. This position supports the provision of 24x7 service to meet customer expectations and contractual obligations, emphasizing safety, quality, and timely service delivery.
What You Will Do:

Team Management

• Prepare the team for upcoming jobs and allocate job cards to maximize throughput in a timely manner.
• Ensure quality checks are done on finished jobs by technicians to minimize return jobs and complaints.
• Monitor and improve the competency of team members.
• Accountable for the functioning and repairs of tools/equipment used in the workshop.

Operational Management

• Review pre-order forms to confirm parts requirements and ensure guaranteed solutions.
• Monitor warranty jobs to ensure compliance with warranty guidelines and facilitate smooth processing.
• Review workshop figures to monitor progress of operational targets and prepare reports for management discussions.
• Monitor communication with customers through Service Advisors to enhance customer satisfaction.

Service Efficiency

• Ensure optimum utilization of workshop labor and resources to achieve operational efficiency targets.
• Extend 24x7 service support to customers, including emergency support for breakdowns.
• Handle stringent requirements from customers for vehicle/bus uptime to avoid penalties for delays.

Required Skills To Be Successful:

• Strong communication skills.
• Technical knowledge in vehicle diagnosis and repair.
• Ability to think analytically and plan effectively.
• Proficiency in technical software and workshop management.
What Qualifies You For The Role:

• Diploma in Mechanical/Automotive or related field.
• Certified Automotive Technician.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in workshop repair and operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
• BKT (Bus Key Technician) Certification from Volvo Bus Corporation is advantageous.
• Sound technical knowledge in vehicle diagnosis and repair.
• Good communicator in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
• Knowledge of technical software.
• Valid UAE Passenger Bus driver's license is advantageous.
