Accountant – Reporting

What you’ll deliver

• You'll Support financial close by posting manual journals, reviewing GL accounts for accuracy, reconciling sub-ledgers, and maintaining timely account schedules.

• You'll assist in preparing interim and annual financial statements, including group reporting packages and other financial reports required by the management, external auditors, and stakeholders.

• You'll perform daily bank reconciliation of DA bank accounts and ensure timely resolution of any discrepancy noted.

• You’ll provide guidance to end-users with the proper account codes to be used in specific business transactions and ensure that the transactions are in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.

• You'll perform any other or ad hoc analysis required by the management to ensure accuracy of financial balances.

What you bring

• You should be educated to a bachelor’s degree level specialized in Finance and/or Accounting

• You should have professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, CA, CMA or CIMA is highly desirable.

• You should have overall experience of 5 years specifically in the Finance field, with demonstrated experience in general ledger function.

• You’ll have extensive and comprehensive knowledge of the Journal Entry, Bank reconciliation, preparation of GL reports, Trial Balance & Financial Statement Close Processes Knowledge of IFRS, ERP, and statutory laws and regulations/implications.
