Getting a Nepali CV Past Gulf Screening
Nepali workers are a familiar and trusted presence in Doha's hotels, Riyadh's construction sites, Dubai's malls and Kuwait's facilities companies — and a growing number of Nepali engineers, nurses and IT professionals now target the Gulf too. Most large Gulf employers, however, filter applications with Applicant Tracking Systems before any interview is arranged.
Many Nepali CVs are short on the details these systems score. 'Waiter' or 'security guard' without named skills, a nursing CV without the Nepal Nursing Council number, an engineering CV without project quantities or software, or a photo of a printed page that the software can't read at all. Language skills — English, Hindi, Arabic — are often left out, even though Gulf employers value them.
